MEET THE FOUNDER & CEO

Hey, I'm Priya Patel!

Priya is dedicated to bringing forth eastern philosophy and western science through a trauma-informed lens. She facilitates Trauma Sensitive Yoga in Dallas, Texas to individuals and small groups. She is the founder of The Intention Table with programs that support trauma-informed programming that include yoga, meditation, and mindful eating. Her programs are currently found in two safe houses, an addiction recovery, and counseling center.

In addition, as a RYT 500, Priya teaches yoga philosophy for Yoga Alliance and has studied the wisdom tradition across southeast Asia for 4 years with incredible teachers including His Holiness Dalai Lama. She was drawn to this work when she unraveled her own history of complex trauma and started seeking alternatives to treatment beyond talk therapy. Her personal and professional experience with CPTSD fuels her desire to help people gain access to programming that empowers them while bringing their bodies and minds into recovery.

Priya also acts an advocate for social justice and is part of a cohort in Dallas that brings awareness to human trafficking in the city.
